Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug doted with powerful anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity. It acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis.
The classic tests for the evaluation of anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity reveal the pronounced superiority of ketoprofen compared with phenylbutazone and aspirin.
Ketoprofen does not cause any of the known side-effects of corticoids.
